AURORA, ILLINOIS – Democratic State Senator Linda Holmes cut the ribbon on
her new campaign headquarters Wednesday evening surrounded by friends and
supporters. The new campaign office is located at 78 S. Lasalle St, right in the heart of downtown Aurora and will serve as the center of her re-election campaign. It will be used as a meeting place for volunteers and a convenient location to pickup campaign literature or yard signs.
“The past ten years have seen a population boom in the 42nd District, causing the size of our district to dramatically shrink in the new re-map with places like Bolingbrook, Joliet, Shorewood, and Plainfield being cut out of the district. It has been an honor to serve the residents of those communities for the past six years, but I am thrilled to be coming home to Aurora”, said Senator Holmes who has called Aurora home for the last 30 years.
The new 42nd District contains most of Aurora, and portions of Montgomery,
Naperville, North Aurora, and Oswego.
