Legislative Accomplishments
Accomplishments for our Community
Since being elected to the State Senate in November of 2006, I have pursued a common sense approach on behalf of our District. We’ve made great strides regarding the issues facing our community: road improvements, healthcare, education, jobs, individual rights, environmental conservation and more. It is an honor to represent you in Springfield and together, we’ll continue to fight for the issues important to us all and make our community even better.
Road Improvements
As State Senator of one of the fastest growing areas in the country Linda believes it is imperative to provide safe roads that can accommodate the growing number of drivers without causing traffic backups or gridlock. Last Spring she worked out an agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation to accelerate the road construction timeline and bring over $69 million dollars in road funding to expand Route 59 and address other needs in our area in 2009 with an additional $76 million over the next five years.
